Open and Closed. Fee-Free and Commercial.

Currently, we work with Ruby on Rails, AJAX, and MySQL + InnoDB databases.

But we don't stop there.

We constantly evaluate new technology to find different ways of implementing solutions. Likewise, many solutions from the past are just as relevant today as when they were conceived.

À La Mode

Here are some of the technologies we have recently used on projects:

Ruby on Rails

The most popular Ruby framework for web application development. Ruby on Rails is known as an "opinionated" framework that meets the majority of agile web development needs by promoting convention over configuration. The framework provides a deep stack of helper libraries and a consistent coding structure.

ExtJS

A great JavaScript user interface and AJAX library for building browser-based applications with a visual design and level of interactivity more commonly associated with desktop applications.

jQuery

With a large number of plugins, jQuery offers plenty of JavaScript effects and user interface widgets for creating Rich Internet Applications.

MySQL + InnoDB

The combination of a MySQL database server and the InnoDB storage engine offers a transactional relational database that can compete with other database offerings from Oracle and Microsoft. And the major software companies know this. Oracle bought InnoDB in October 2005, and Sun purchased MySQL in February 2008.

memcached

Caching technology is used by all major web sites, and memcached is one piece in implementing a caching strategy by reducing database queries.

Promising

And here are some of the technologies we are evaluating or using on new projects:

JRuby

Ruby running on a Java VM. In several situations, JRuby offers better performance than the C-based MRI Ruby 1.8.7 interpreter.

We're always looking for new things to play with!
